K Series
K Series Closed Face Piezoelectric Transducers
The ‘K’ Series Piezo transducers are designed to be environmentally rugged, with durable, sealed construction that resists and protects against water, heat, humidity and other elements.

The piezo-base ‘K’ series transducers offer the design engineer a unique blend of size, acoustical performance and environmental ruggedness when developing their ultrasonic sensor product.

This line of transducers is specifically intended for operation in air at ultrasonic frequencies. All use closed-faced, metal case construction with a resin filled back to ensure their integrity in hostile environments. They can be subdivided into three distinct groups: Transmit/Receiver Pairs, Transceivers, and High Frequency High resolution units.

Transmit/Receiver Pairs

40KT08/40KR08 - 9.1mm diameter; Operates at 40 kHz; Typical Beam Angle of 125°
40KT18/40KR18 - 18mm diameter; Operates at 40 kHz; Typical Beam Angle of 30°
40KT25/40KR25 - 25mm diameter; Operates at 40 kHz; Typical Beam Angle of 30°

Transceivers

The pulse transceivers incorporate internal mechanical damping techniques for improved temperal ring control, and the high frequency transducers are coated with a special acoustic material for optimum efficiency and impedance matching to air.

40KPT18A – 18mm diameter; Typical Beam Angle of 85º
40KPT25 – 25mm diameter; Typical Beam Angle of 30º

High Frequency, High Resolution

The High Frequency transducers are coated with a special acoustic material for optimum efficiency and impedance matching to air.

120KHF25 – 25mm diameter; Operates at 120 kHz; Typical Beam Angle of 10º
200KHF18 – 18mm diameter; Operates at 210 kHz; Typical Beam Angle of 10º
